Depart Windhoek by light aircraft for Little Kulala Camp, situated in the private 25,000 acre Kulala Wilderness Reserve. Adjacent to Sossusvlei itself, it offers magnificent 1000 ft. high red sand dunes to the west, rugged Namib mountainous escarpment to the north and east with grassy plains and ‘fairy circles’ in between. Each of the eight chalets has its own private bathroom and wrap-around veranda with a small plunge pool. A flat rooftop provides the ideal setting for evening stargazing. Activities include early morning game drives, nature drives to the dunes, walks on the private reserve, day trips into the Namib-Naukluft mountains and early morning ballooning. (B,L,D)

Morning flight to the Palmwag area of northern Damaraland where Palmwag Rhino Camp is operated in conjunction with ‘Save the Rhino Trust.’ The luxury mobile camp offers a brilliant insight into the ecology and conservation of this incredibly rugged area, and contributes directly to the Trust and ultimately the sustainability of its wildlife. The area you traverse while tracking black rhino and other wildlife is over one million acres. Twelve guests have the rare pleasure of exploring this wild and remote area in the company of dedicated conservationists and local trackers. Serra Cafema Camp, located in the extreme northwest of Namibia, is probably the most remote camp in Southern Africa. The camp’s Portuguese name comes from the mountains to the north that dominate the skyline. For those who appreciate truly wild places, the journey to Serra Cafema is extremely exciting. The flight in takes guests over incredible scenery. After landing, there is a dramatic drive through open grasslands and high mountains, past springbok, oryx and ostrich, culminating in a breathtaking descent into camp. Built within an island of ancient albida trees on the banks of the Kunene River, the camp shares the area with the wonderful Himba, some of the last nomadic people in Africa. One of the highlights of your stay at Serra Cafema is the chance to interact with the Himba in their traditional homeland. (B,L,D)

Fly by light aircraft from Serra Cafema to Ongava Game Reserve, situated along the southern boundary of Etosha National Park. Both camps have views over nearby water holes. Activities include game drives in semi-open 4×4 vehicles into the Okaukuejo area of Etosha where lion, elephant, cheetah, gemsbok, springbok, and hartebeest can be seen at many of the water holes. In addition, night drives, game-viewing hides and walks with guides are enjoyed on the private reserve. Ongava has resident white and black rhino; a highlight is tracking rhino on foot. (B,L,D)
