Morning walking tour of Santiago including the Plaza de Armas, ‘La Moneda’ and Cathedral. Drive to the old city and San Cristobal Hill for a panoramic view of Santiago and the Andes. Shop at the quaint artisans’ village of Los Graneros de Alba. (B)
DAY 4: SANTIAGO / TEMUCO / PUCONVILLARICA PARK LAKE

DAYS 5-6: PUCONVILLARICA PARK LAKE
Pucon is a natural paradise on the shores of Villarica Lake. Surrounded by hills and the imposing Villarica volcano, Pucon is considered an ideal center for rest and adventure. DAY 8: LAKE CROSSING / BARILOCHEHOTEL LLAO LLAO
Today is your ‘Fast Lake Crossing’ by road and boat to Bariloche, Argentina. This is one of the most spectacular traveling days anywhere, past azure rapids, beautiful lakes, heavily wooded forests, glaciers and towering mountains all ending at the gorgeous Hotel Llao Llao. (B,L)
DAY 9: BARILOCHE / BUENOS AIRESALVEAR PALACE

DAY 10: BUENOS AIRESALVEAR PALACE
Get acquainted with Buenos Aires, the most European city in South America. See the Plaza de Mayo, the regal Colon Opera House, Palermo Park, Evita Peron’s tomb in La Recoleta Cemetery and the quaint and lively Italian Quarter of La Boca in the harbor district. Afternoon free. (B)
DAY 11: BUENOS AIRESALVEAR PALACE

DAY 12: BUENOS AIRES / IGUASSUHOTEL DAS CATARATAS
Fly to Iguassu Falls. Iguassu National Park is a gem of tropical scenery, vistas, flowers, birds and butterflies. Spanning two miles of falls is Garganta do Diablo, or Devil’s Throat. Stroll on multi-level pathways alongside the falls. The vistas and roar of cascading water are unforgettable. (B)
DAY 13: IGUASSU / RIOCOPACABANA PALACE
Free day to explore the tropical forest surrounding Iguassu Falls. Late afternoon flight to Rio de Janeiro. Transfer to your hotel. (B)
DAY 14: RIO DE JANEIROCOPACABANA PALACE
Full day tour of Rio de Janeiro, one of the world’s most exotic and romantic cities. Take a train through Tijuca Forest to Corcovado Mountain and the majestic statue of Christ. Lunch in a Churrascaria featuring Brazilian style barbecue. Ride by cable car to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain. Visit Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon and the exotic Botanical Gardens. (B,L)

Another free, exciting and wild day in Rio! Do your last shopping, take a dip at Copacabana beach and transfer to the airport for your overnight flight. (B)
DAY 17: ARRIVE USAEN ROUTE
Early morning arrival in the USA.
Venture into the pristine Amazon River Basin to the Ariau Treetop Lodge, located 35 miles from Manaus by riverboat or helicopter. An exotic world of rare plants, trees, flowers, butterflies and colorful birds is revealed as you experience the Amazon’s many secrets. Ariau Lodge features a observation tower soaring 110 feet into the jungle canopy. Excursions are led by seasoned naturalists. Go piranha fishing, alligator spotting and take cruises by canoes to native villages. In Manaus, tour the famous Opera House, walk through the old streets and shop for Amazonian handicrafts.
