
PASSPORTS
You must be in possession of a passport valid for six (6) months after the return from your holiday.
INCLUSIONS
Accommodations, internal airfare, charter flights, ground transportation, meals, private transfers and sightseeing as indicated; hotel taxes, entrance fees, park fees, and baggage handling.
EXCLUSIONS
Cost of passports and visas, departure taxes, personal expenses such as laundry and beverages (except at various safari camps), communication charges, hotel/cruise incidental expenses, room service, excess baggage fees, international and internal airfare unless noted otherwise, departure taxes, gratuities for guides and drivers, travel and personal insurance coverage. Baggage handling is at the owner’s own risk throughout the tour.
RESERVATIONS & DEPOSITS
A 20% deposit (minimum $500 pp) of the total land/air tour cost is required at the time of booking. Programs of two or more countries require a minimum $1000 pp deposit. Private Journeys require a non-refundable $250 pp fee before a suggested itinerary is prepared — to be credited toward the cost of arrangements. Additional deposits may be required for certain game lodges and resorts. Once a program is confirmed, alterations to the program will result in change fees of $250/change. Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure.
RATES & FARES
Rates quoted are per person based on double occupancy and a minimum of two persons traveling. All air quotes are based on current economy class fares not including taxes, are subject to change prior to ticketing and carry penalties/surcharges. Business and First Class fares are available upon request. Flight confirmation is based on availability. Fares available from other US cities. Holiday supple-ments apply. All rates shown are accurate at the time of publication, are subject to change and are based upon exchange rates the company feels will be in effect at the time of departure. These prices are subject to change resulting from fluctuations in exchange rates.
REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS
Destinations & Adventures must receive all cancellations in writing. The per person cancellation charges are:
- More than 90 days prior to departure: 50% of deposit
- 89-60 days prior to departure: 100% of deposit
- 59-45 days prior to departure: 30% of tour price
- 44-30 days prior to departure: 50% of tour price
- Less than 30 days prior to departure:100% of tour price
In addition to the above, you will be liable for any non-refundable deposits paid to suppliers on your behalf. There is no refund for a partially completed tour or for unused services of any kind. Trip cancellation and personal coverage insurance is highly recommended.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
Medical travel insurance and trip cancellation insurance is highly recommended to protect against the unexpected. Our program allows you to travel worry free with: 1) Insurance coverage for trip cancellation or interruption. 2) Insurance coverage for Illness or injury while abroad. 3) Coverage for emergency medical evacuation. 3) Reimbursement for baggage loss, theft or damage. 4) 24-hour assistance anywhere in the world.Complete the application we send to you upon tour confirmation including terms, condition limits, costs and enrollment procedures.
HOTELS, CRUISE SHIPS, SAFARI CAMPS
Destinations & Adventures International or its independent suppliers may find it necessary to make substitutions in the accommoda-tions due to circumstances beyond their control. Normally substitutions are of superior or equal quality. If a substitution of equal or superior quality cannot be made, a refund will be paid for the difference.
AIRLINES
Destinations & Adventures International has no control over any airline operations and is not responsible for schedule changes, delays or cancellations. Airline delays and any extra expenses incurred are the sole responsibility of the airline.
OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES
At some of the places you will visit on your tour, optional activities will be available from other independent suppliers who are not affili-ated with Destinations & Adventures International. Some of these activities carry with them inherent risks, including that of attack by wild animals, which can cause serious injury. These activities include, but are not limited to: (1) walking safaris; (2) horseback/camel safaris; (3) canoeing; (4) ballooning; (5) gorilla trekking; (6) light aircraft flights; (7) diving and snorkeling; (7) desert excursions. You should be aware that, although precautions are taken by the suppliers to guard against such dangers, your safety cannot be guaranteed. Should you elect to participate in such activities while you are on your tour, you are free to do so at your own risk. Destinations & Adventures International assumes no responsibility for your safety and requests common sense and caution be exercised while visiting any of the cities and towns on the tour. The company is in no way responsible for incidents or personal/public interaction occurring between a tour member and anyone you may meet while on tour.
FORCE MAJEUR
Destinations & Adventures International is not liable for acts of God, fire, weather, acts of governments or other authorities, wars, civil disturbances, riots, terrorist acts, strikes, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines, dangers incident to sea, land and air travel, and other similar incidents beyond its control.
RESPONSIBILITY
Destinations & Adventures International is a California-based corporation located in Los Angeles, purchasing transportation, hotel and cruise accommodations, restaurants and other services from various independent suppliers not affiliated with Destinations & Adven-tures International in any way. Although Destinations & Adventures International chooses the best suppliers available, the company has no right to control their operations and cannot, therefore, be liable for any personal injury or property damage or loss which may occur due to (1) wrongful, negligent or arbitrary acts of omission on the part of a supplier, its employees and others not under the direct control of Destinations & Adventures International, or (2) defects or failures of any aircraft, vessel, automotive vehicle or other equipment under the control of independent suppliers. By booking a reservation with Destinations & Adventures International, passenger(s) agrees that any legal action taken against the company can be filed only in the State of California and nowhere else.
